When scrolling down the list sorted by Newest or Date, it's super easy to spot if any of your recent pics are rotated incorrectly. Also, you will notice if any of your images were are uploaded more than once. As you know we are not allowed to upload duplicates. Some local guides believe it's okay to upload the same image to different places. Nope. This is not okay. Also, you can spot what is called Near-duplicate images. They should also be deleted, so only one of the similar photos remains.
From your list of new images, you can easily delete both duplicates, near-duplicates, and images that are rotated incorrectly. You may want to re-upload wrongly rotated images as explained here.
There can also be other problems you can fix. Maybe you forgot to blur some faces or one image is still too dark.
This picture has been uploaded 5 times! Not good. Four copies should be deleted ASAP.
Uploading duplicates can happen without the local guide doing anything wrong. Especially if the internet connection is weak. But more likely the local guides desire for points caused it. Google Maps sometimes prompt you to upload a picture that was already uploaded. Don't fall for this trap.
Here you see 2 examples of near similar pics uploaded to Google Maps. Near duplicates should also be deleted.

Also, these two pictures are too similar. Only one of them should be uploaded to Google Maps.
Besides fixing issues as mentioned above you can also:
Remember that when you review your photos this also counts as views. So very small numbers could just be your views that were counted! So no one else has seen them.
Later you can consider removing underperforming photos. This can increase your average views per pic.
If you are an avid contributor and you have uploaded thousands of photos you will soon discover that Google Maps is not perfect. If you want to check your earliest photos you will need to scroll down forever. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reach to check or delete your oldest photos when the list gets very long. This problem is present on all three platforms Android, IOS, and Desktop. Several requests for improvement on this have been posted on Connect. So far to no avail.
Because of this problem, it's best to review your list of photos for every 200 photos or so you upload.
Next type of feedback is what you can learn from your list of most viewed photos. It's time to hit "Suggested next page" again.
