Show contributions on your Google Maps profile
Show contributions on your Google Maps profile
Follow these steps to make sure others can see your photos on your Maps profile:
- Open the Google Maps app on your mobile.
- Tap the bottom tab called Contribute.
- Tap View your profile.
- Tap Profile settings.
- Scroll down. Almost to the end.
- Find Show contributions on your profile.
When this setting is ON (blue) your photos (and reviews) are visible for others.
If you want others to evaluate your photo contributions this setting must be ON.
When the setting is OFF (grey) your profile will say: "The user has chosen not to display them." as seen here.
Unfortunately this setting is not available on Desktop.

Follow these steps on Connect
- Click/tap your profile circle in the top right-hand corner.
- Select My settings.
- Turn ON Show Google Maps link.
Now other local guides can find your Google Maps profile. You can see the difference above.
Click/tap your browser's Back button.
